Alkmini

This look took inspiration from the mother of Hercules, named Alcmene in Ancient Greek. Her name derives from the "strength of the moon" — therefore, the look that holds her namesake shares in the moon’s shining power. The dress, made out of French azur eyelet embroidery from the 50s/60s, radiates in this combination, styled with an oversized straw hat made in Greece and adorned with ribbons from Berlin. It is complemented with a belt made in Greece made by the artisans of Museum Benaki / NE. M. A. — the oldest and first factory in the country to specialize in passementerie.
